Oak Hill Country Club is a 36-hole facility located in Rochester NY. Both championship courses are designed by storied architect, Donald Ross, and the East Course is consistently ranked as a top 25 course in the country and one of the greatest venues for championship golf. Trinity Forest Golf Club is a Coore/Crenshaw designed golf course located just south of downtown Dallas. We are a course built to host championship golf and produce world class conditions for our members and guests. In 2023 we were named the #1 course in the state of Texas. Previously we have hosted the PGA Tour AT&T Byron Nelson, The Stephens Cup, Trans Mississippi Am, as well as annual mens and womens college invitationals.  In 2025 we were the host site of the USGA Jr. Amateur. The course consists of Trinity Zoysia shortgrass, Champion Bermuda greens and a native blend of 40 species.  The agronomy department at the club believes in a work/life balance. Rarely do we work more than 45 hours per week. Our staff of 40 is able to do many tasks without the need for overtime. If you have a family beach trip or your cousin's wedding, we will accommodate for that.  Summer interns at Trinity Forest are taught how to be a successful assistant superintendent. You will not be push mowing rough, pulling a hose all summer, or weed eating. We tailor our internship to the needs/wants of every student. Philadelphia Country Club is a private country club located just outside the city of Philadelphia. We are a 27 hole facility; The Spring Mill course is a William Flynn design consisting of Bentgrass greens, tees and fairways. Spring Mill and Centennial ranges have a combined total of 3 Bermudagrass tees and 1 Bentgrass tee. In addition to golf the club has 7 tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts and two brand new Padel courts. The Country Club of York is looking for Student Interns for the 2026 season. This position will give the student all the exposure they will need to become a successful Assistant Superintendent and ultimately to become a Golf Course Superintendent.  The intern will report directly to the Green and Grounds Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.  This person will aid in the direction and participation in maintaining the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding property as well as being exposed to all aspects of maintaining the golf course from course setup, pesticide applications, water management to managing small crews and everything in between.  You will also be exposed to golf course construction processes in regards to executing the Country Club of York's master plan developed by Golf Course Architect Andrew Green.   These projects are completed by McDonald and Son's Golf Course Builders Inc. in conjunction with the CCY agronomy team.  The 2026 project we will be completing an overhaul of two of our tee complexes. The scope of the project will be demoing the current tee boxes and shifting and building 3-4 new tee boxes on each hole along with the installation of new irrigation.  The members of CCY are committed to continually improving the golf course and we are scheduled to complete at least one major project each year moving forward. This internship will give the student a great opportunity to build his or her resume.

We are excited to be hosting the 106th NJ State Open Championship this upcoming July (2026)!  It will be a great opportunity for a summer intern to dive into tournament preparation and execution! Morris County Golf Club is a classic 18 hole golf course designed by CB Macdonald/Seth Raynor.  The club itself was established in 1894, with its current layout of holes being finished by Raynor around 1916.  Our goal in the grounds department is to create a partnership with an individual that wants to learn more about the turf industry and the day to day needs for golf course turf management.  We intend this to be a true partnership of respect and opportunity for growth.  We know an intern can become a valued part of our management team throughout a summer season and we want to support an individual through that experience no matter what their current skills are.  A summer intern can expect to learn more about applications (fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, etc.), mowing practices, course setup, tournament preparations, cultural practices, business management, project management, moisture management, and crew/team leadership.  Besides some exciting renovation work out on the golf course over the last 2 years, we also have moved into an updated world class maintenance facility.  The new improvements include renovations throughout our existing areas alongside brand NEW administration and environmental buildings. The Quechee Club is a private 36 hole championship golf and four season private recreational community located in south central Vermont with a current membership level of 1,400 members.  The club is situated on 5,000 acres and also offers a small downhill ski area, X/C skiing, 11 tennis courts, 4 platform courts, indoor & outdoor pools, fitness center, 50 acre recreational lake, polo field, athletic fields, hiking & biking trails, etc.  The surrounding "Upper Valley" area has lots of other outdoor recreational activities along with the cultural offerings of Woodstock, Vermont and Dartmouth College, which is located just across the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Club has recently gone through a major renovation in 2023 after summer flooding damaged the property.  The property features California greens with A1/A4 Bentgrass surfaces along with bentgrass tees & fairways.  In addition a new HDPE irrigation system installation was completed in 2022 with the installation of a new Rainbird I/C decoder system with double & triple row sprinklers.  During 2023, the club embarked on phase one of a Campus Master plan renovation program to update other facilities and amenities throughout the club. We are looking for driven and motivated individuals who have the short term goal of gaining the skills and experience necessary to become an assistant golf course superintendent and eventually a golf course superintendent.  The qualities we value are a good work ethic, a keen eye with attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and willing to work overtime when necessary to provide our membership with the best quality product possible.  Our internships will be specifically tailored to the individuals' needs based on past experience and what they desire to focus on while interning.  Interns will be encouraged to obtain a Vermont State Pesticide applicators license while here and will become an integral part of our plant protectant applications program.  In addition, interns will have some crew scheduling and leadership opportunities along with daily course set up & scouting, hand watering, irrigation repairs, project work, equipment operation,  etc.  Interns leave with a well rounded exposure to all facets of turfgrass management and successful interns are strongly considered for future employment opportunities that may arise along with being offered help in achieving their future career objectives.  We have many former interns who have gone on to very successful careers in the Golf course maintenance industry.

  The Country Club of Detroit is a HS Colt/CH Allison original design from 1912 that has played host to (2) US Amateur Championships, and recently successfully hosted the 2021 US Senior Amateur Championship. The most recent architectural imprint on the property today is with Renaissance Golf Design (Brian Slawnik as lead architect), who completed a large scale renovation in 2010-2011 with complete reconstruction of all greens & tees, as well as re-grassing of fairways & renovating bunkers. A large scale tree management program was initiated at this time as well. Their design has brought back many design parameters with a ground game golf course. There have been recent upgrades as well with green side bunker removals on 4 holes and the incorporation of 2+ acres of bentgrass bailouts for extended playability options.  The Country Club of Detroit, or CCD as it is known to our membership & staff, sits northeast of Downtown Detroit in the vibrant, exclusive suburb of Grosse Pointe Farms. Sleepy Hollow Country Club is a world renowned private, 27-hole C.B MacDonald original design overlooking the Hudson River in Scarborough, New York.  SHCC is currently ranked 52nd in the United States by Golf Digest, and 70th in the world by Golf Magazine.  The 338 acre property consists of a championship 18-hole Upper Course and a 9-hole Lower Course.  Hanse Golf Course Design completed a restoration of the Upper Course in 2016 that converted the greens construction to USGA specification while utilizing the original poa sod.  The Lower Course consists of modified native soil push-up greens, offering candidates a unique opportunity to manage both sand-constructed USGA greens and hundred year old native soil greens on the same property.   Seasonal interns will be an integral part of a strong agronomic team that strives to provide championship level conditioning on a daily basis to our membership and guests.  Interns can expect to be involved in every aspect of the day-to-day operations, with an emphasis placed on plant protectant and fertilizer applications, intensive moisture management techniques, and special projects.  Interns will work directly alongside all Assistants, Superintendents, and the Director of Agronomy, and share many of the same responsibilities.    Internships are available year-round.
