  Victoria National Golf Club is seeking an Assistant in Training (AIT) to join our management team. We are an 18 hole private club with a primarily national membership. Designed by Tom Fazio the course has continuously been ranked in multiple top 100 lists since inception and is currently ranked number one in Indiana. Located in the southwest corner of the state, it’s the only cool-season facility in the region. Greens, tees, and fairways are grassed with L-93 Bentgrass. Our rough is primarily Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass. Dew paths and intermediates are Perennial Ryegrass and HGT Bluegrass. Our turf types combined with our climate provide a unique opportunity to learn elite course presentation in an extremely challenging environment. We are fortunate to have ownership that understands what is needed to maintain a course of our caliber. We are closed annually from late November to early April to perform all turf cultivation practices as well as architectural and construction updates.   Indian Bayou Golf Club is seeking an individual for the position of IPM Technician.  The intergrated pest management program is designed to address the management of pest pressures in turf, ornamental plants including trees and shrubs, native areas and lakes.  This includes application of plant protectants such as fungicides, algaecides, insecticides and herbicides.  It also includes managing plant health through fertillization, promoting proper soil drainage, sunlight exposure and air movement. The spray tech will be involved in all aspects of the IPM program.  This includes: - Applications of liquid and granular plant protectants, fertilizers and soil ammendments. - Record keeping of all applications. - Managing inventory of all plant protectant products and fertilizers including organization and cleanliness of product storges. - Calibration and maintenance of application equipment including sprayers and spreaders. Multiple tees are available for all ages and ability to navigate the eight water features and 52 strategically placed bunkers protecting our large greens, averaging 7,500 square feet.  Each set of nine holes is arranged in an out-and-back design with both the No. 9 and No. 18 holes returning to the clubhouse.  Fox Den’s signature hole No. 18, a par 5, requires 3 accurate shots to a green complex guarded by a pond on the right and bunker on the left.  Using a golf cart is not mandatory at Fox Den, and walking is always allowed on the course.      Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, the A.I.T. participates and helps oversee the maintenance of the Golf Course and Grounds. This position requires someone who is eager to learn and is dedicated to becoming a future leader in the agronomy industry.     These duties will include but are not limited to: Assists in daily golf course setup Perform cultural practices such as fertilization, spray applications, aerification and top-dressing. Aid in small project management Operate a variety of turf maintenance equipment, such as greens mowers, fairway units, utility vehicles, and rollers.  Perform mowing, edging, trimming, and bunker maintenance to ensure top-quality playing conditions.    Education, Certification/License, and Experience: Actively seeking or completed a 2–4 year turfgrass management degree. Obtain a Tennessee pesticide applicator license at a desirable time. Ability to confidently operate turf equipment.
