Reef is currently developing the Marcella Private Club and Golf Course which is honored to partner with 82-time PGA tour winner, Tiger Woods, and his golf course design firm, TGR Design, for their first mountain course design. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Irrigator to join our team for the construction and maintenance of our state-of-the-art irrigation system and overall turf health. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal health and appearance of our golf course. Responsibilities: Lead the installation of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) irrigation piping during the construction phase. Collaborate with construction and landscaping teams to ensure proper placement and alignment of irrigation components. Conduct routine inspections of the irrigation system to identify and address any issues promptly. Perform repairs and replacements of damaged or malfunctioning components, including valves, controllers, and pipes. Troubleshoot and diagnose system irregularities to maintain efficient water distribution. Implement and execute turf management programs, including fertilization, aeration, and pest control. Monitor and adjust mowing heights and frequencies to promote healthy turf growth. Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to develop and implement a comprehensive turf health plan. Program and monitor irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and adapt to changing weather conditions. Implement water conservation strategies and contribute to sustainable water management practices. Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and other team members to coordinate irrigation activities with overall course maintenance schedules. Provide input and expertise on irrigation system enhancements and upgrades. Qualifications: Proven experience in golf course irrigation system installation and maintenance. Knowledge of HDPE pipe installation techniques and practices. Familiarity with irrigation system components, including controllers, valves, pumps, and sensors. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex irrigation system issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Experience in turf management and a comprehensive understanding of greenkeeping practices. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in irrigation system installation and maintenance. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
