SUMMARY Directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course landscape areas and the golf courses including tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, cart paths and rough. Maintains playing conditions to the highest possible standards set forth by following the TwinEagles standard operating procedures manual. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees all course construction and maintenance. Develops and maintains drainage, irrigation and watering systems. Directs subordinate supervisors on tasks to be carried out to maintain golf courses in pristine playing condition. Inspects courses regularly to evaluate and recommend improvements. Coordinates applicable work with outside contractors. Ensures labor and costs remain within budgetary guidelines. Meets with Director of Agronomy and Director of Golf to discuss conditions of facilities, maintenance plans and scheduled events. Conducts weekly staff and safety meetings to ensure that safety standards are met. Attends turf conferences, equipment shows, workshops and other educational programs to keep current knowledge of technical and turf innovations and changes that could affect the department's operations. OTHER FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Agronomy. Complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and ensures corrective action is completed in a timely manner. Ensures employees are properly trained on specific job, equipment and documents equipment training. Open line of communication with the Director of Agronomy keeping them informed of any significant matters. The Primary role of this position is to overlook the aging irrigation system and assist in day to day activities. In 1912, an additional 35 acres were leased to create an 18-hole layout that opened in 1913. The first Old York Road Invitational was held in July of 1920. E.C. Clarey of Bala captured the inaugural two-day event. Over the years other winners of Invitational, one of the oldest tournaments of its kind in the region, include J. Wood Platt, William Hyndman III and Jay Sigel, to name just a few. In 1962, the Club faced its most daunting challenge ever. Under obligation to put its land to the most profitable use in order to support its expanding school, the Trustees of Abington Friends Meeting requested that Old York Road CC relocate. Forced to start over after 52 years, 57 properties were inspected by the Club’s search committee before selecting the 126 acre Bennerbrook Farm, located in Spring House Montgomery County. A sum of $250,000 was spent to acquire the land and $500,000 was spent to renovate the Manor House, Cannon House and Barn, as well as convert the cornfields into an 18-hole golf course. Naples Lakes Country Club is an Arnold Palmer signature course built 1999.  The Club is a private, member-owned facility with 18 holes of championship golf.  In the summer of 2017, the Arnold Palmer Design group completed a full restoration and redesign.  Naples Lakes Country Club was one of the final courses Arnold Palmer provided design input and is the only Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course in Collier County. The course accommodates over 50,000 rounds annually, with most of that coming in the heart of season from January through April. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the 1st assistant superintendent is responsible for directing and participating in the daily maintenance of the golf course.  Working knowledge of golf course operations, including the maintenance practices for golf course turf, proper herbicide applications, and knowledge of fertilizer applications, is essential. Were in the middle of a complete shop renovation that should be completed by the end of 2024.  In the summer of 2024 were installing Turfhound driving range mats, along with drainage to enhance the driving range complex. The club is looking for an individual that can assist and excel at a high level. This individual should be able assist in personal management and evaluation, employee safety, and follow a code of conduct.

The Philadelphia Country Club is a private country club located just outside the city of Philadelphia.  We are a 27 hole facility, the original 18 holes are a William Flynn design consisting of Bentgrass greens, tees and fairways.  Our 9-hole course was recently renovated to include a full size driving range.  Philadelphia Country Club has hosted the 1939 U.S. Open, 2003 Women's U.S. amateur tournaments.  We will be co hosting the 2026 Men's U.S. Amateur tournament.  In addition to golf the club has 9 hydro tennis courts, recently added 8 platform tennis courts, a large resort style pool and shooting lodge. Irrigation Technicians will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistants to ensure all irrigation is working properly.  This includes all golf course, tennis courts and clubhouse irrigation. The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for minor repairs, audits and organization of parts room.  The Round Hill Club is an extremely exclusive club in Fairfield County Connecticut. The course was designed by Walter Travis and opened in 1924. The course infrastructure includes: USGA A-4 Bentgrass greens, Rain Bird 2 wire irrigation system (2013), Ciris Pro software to be installed this spring, new pump house with fertigation and new bunkers with Billy Bunker liners. The bunkers and green compounds were recently restored to their original design. Upcoming projects include: fairway expansions, tree work, extensive fairway drainage and long range planning. The club recently hired Andrew Green as our golf course architect and we are excited to get started on some great work. We are wrapping up a master plan that will focus on the potential construction of a state of the art driving range and practice facilities, extensive tree clearing, the addition of new tee boxes and the adjustment of fairway contours. We recently constructed a $1.3M chemical mixing, storage and equipment wash down facility this year adjacent to our current maintenance building. We are also continuously improving the property through in-house projects. The membership demands championship playing conditions on a daily basis and is willing to provide one of the largest 18 hole budgets in the metropolitan area to achieve that. The membership is composed of a group of exceptional Greenwich based families that are appreciative, grounded and a pleasure to work for. Greenwich is an extremely upscale town but is only 20 minutes from 2 lively mid sized cities and a 40 minute train ride away from NYC.
